Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Interview Guru, operated at interviewguru.co ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Interview Guru is an AI-powered tool that generates personalized interview preparation materials — including resumes, cover letters, behavioral interview questions, thank you letters, LinkedIn profile optimization, and AI interview coaching — based on your resume and a target job posting. The Service is provided "as is" and is intended to assist, not replace, your own judgment in job applications.

2. Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You may not share your account with others or transfer it to another person.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to generate false, misleading, or fraudulent application materials
• Attempt to circumvent plan limits or access features beyond your subscription tier
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service or its underlying AI systems
• Upload content that you do not own or have the right to use
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

You are solely responsible for the content you submit and any documents you send to employers. Interview Guru generates suggestions — reviewing and taking responsibility for the final materials is yours.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

• Free (Seeker) plan: 3 lifetime interview kits at no charge. No credit card required.
• Paid plans: Practitioner ($19/mo) and Guru ($39/mo) are billed monthly. Prices are in USD.
• Kit limits: Monthly kit counts reset at the start of each monthly billing cycle. Unused kits do not roll over.
• Cancellation: You may cancel at any time. Access continues through the end of your current billing period.
• Refunds: We do not offer refunds for unused portions of a billing period. If you experience a technical error that prevented use of the Service, contact us at help@interviewguru.co and we will evaluate on a case-by-case basis.
• Price changes: We will give at least 30 days' notice before changing subscription prices for existing subscribers.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you upload (your resume) and the documents generated for you. By using the Service, you grant Interview Guru a limited license to process and store your content solely to provide the Service.

We do not claim ownership of your resume or generated documents. We do not use your content to train AI models.

6. AI-Generated Content

Documents generated by Interview Guru are produced by artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy and quality:

• AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or information that requires correction.
• You should review all generated documents before submitting them to employers.
• Interview Guru is not responsible for outcomes of job applications — hiring decisions are made by employers, not us.
• We do not guarantee that generated materials will result in interviews or job offers.

7. Intellectual Property

The Interview Guru name, logo, and product design are our intellectual property. You may not reproduce, copy, or use them without permission. The underlying AI models are owned by Anthropic and are subject to their terms.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated content will meet your specific needs.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Interview Guru shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost job opportunities, lost profits, or data loss. Our total liability to you for any claims under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting help@interviewguru.co. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the site at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
